General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

By purchasing a ticket for the City Train Interlaken, the purchaser and ticket holder agrees to the following terms and conditions:

Service conditions

The City Train Interlaken offers round trips through Interlaken according to the published timetable. The journeys include the services specified in the booking. Changes or restrictions to the scope of services, e.g. due to operational disruptions or other circumstances, are possible and will be communicated in good time. Contractual relationships are established exclusively between the purchaser and Bödelibahn GmbH when a ticket is purchased.

Ticket prices

All ticket prices are quoted in Swiss francs (CHF) and include VAT. Bödelibahn GmbH reserves the right to adjust prices.

Ticket purchase

Tickets for the City Train Interlaken are sold via Arab Service GmbH. Customers are redirected to the provider's platform during the purchase process. Bödelibahn GmbH has no influence on any transaction fees or technical problems that may occur with the third-party provider. The general terms and conditions and data protection provisions of the service provider Arab Service GmbH must be observed.

Cancellation and refund conditions

Tickets will only be refunded if the journey is generally canceled by the operator of the City Train Interlaken. The maximum refund will be the nominal value of the ticket. Any adverse weather conditions do not entitle to a full or partial refund of the purchase price.

Passenger obligations

Passengers are obligated to follow the instructions of the train crew. Smoking, eating and drinking as well as carrying pets (except assistance dogs) are prohibited on board. Children under the age of 15 may only travel if accompanied by an adult. Passengers may be held liable for willful damage or causing disruption. Bödelibahn GmbH train staff are also entitled to refuse the journey without compensation to passengers who are under the influence of alcohol, rowdy or otherwise disruptive passangers. The same applies to passengers who do not follow the instructions of the train crew.

Exclusion of liability

Bödelibahn GmbH is not liable for any damage to property, personal injury or financial loss suffered by passengers before, during or after the journey. Parents/guardians are liable for their children.

Operating times and timetable changes

The operating times and departure times are based on the published timetable. Changes to the route, delays or interruptions to journeys caused by force majeure or unforeseeable events do not justify any liability claims against Bödelibahn GmbH.
