Tickets are valid for one journey and can be purchased on the train from the train driver or online. The ticket sales will start in spring 2026.

How many seats has the City Train?
The City Train offers seats for a total of 40 people.

Yes, the highlights of the tour are presented via audio guide in the following languages:

Yes, there is a special space for one wheelchair passenger.

Yes, the City Train runs in all weathers.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on the City Train. Thank you for your understanding.
No, eating and drinking is not permitted on the City Train.
No, smoking is prohibited on the City Train.
You can only get off at the Höhematte station (close to the Mersmann fountain).
Strollers can be stowed and carried on the City Train.

By public transport:

  • Take the train to Interlaken West station or Interlaken Ost station
  • From there, take bus 102 or 103 to the bus stop “Interlaken, Kursaal”
